At Salt & Shore Therapy Group, we offer free developmental screens for children who may be experiencing challenges with fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care, attention, coordination, or emotional regulation.
A developmental screen is a brief, play-based observation completed by one of our licensed occupational therapists. It helps determine whether your child's skills are developing as expected or if a more comprehensive evaluation may be beneficial.
A screen may be helpful if your child:

Has difficulty with handwriting, coloring, or using scissors

Seems clumsy or has trouble with balance or coordination

Avoids certain textures, sounds, or clothing

Struggles with attention, transitions, or emotional regulation

Has difficulty with dressing, feeding, or other daily activities

Has been recommended for a screen by a teacher, physician, or caregiver
